samsung ZX10

Pros

Small & lightweight
Very nice keypad and sturdy design
Impressive set of features

Cons

Battery life could be better
Output volume is just average -- may not be enough in noisy places
Tends to overheat a bit too much

Description:-

Technology support: GSM
1.3-megapixel camera with some settings
Weighs 3.7 ounces and measures 3.46 x 1.89 x 1.02 inches

Samsung ZX10 Review :-

TransFlash memory card extension, rotating 1.3 megapixel camera, UMTS with Cingular video, all in a small form factor with a functional keypad. It even sports 50MB of internal memory. Great! But there were drawbacks: volume, either earset or speakerphone, is just average. Listening to Cingular Video was OK in not-too-noisy places .

And even though the ZX10 is feature-rich, some features are surprisingly lacking: The external display is monochrome, yes, on a 1.3-megapixel camera phone that should let you have colourful picture caller ID! And there is no Bluetooth.

LG F7200

Pros

Ultra-light
Good ergonomics

Cons

Earpiece volume is too weak,
even at maximumCalling parties complain about the speakerphone
Battery life could be better

Description:

Technology support: GSMPTT (Push to Talk) enabled
Built-in speakerphone

LG F7200 Review:-

F7200, an eye-catching slider phone by LG. It is ultra lightweight, looks good, has great ergonomics, menus are numbered and relatively easy, they even added a rubber stub to make opening the slide-out keypad easier with just one hand and it works great! But the fundamentals, the things that make a cell phone a cell phone, are disappointing. Battery life always feels unsufficient, the earpiece's sound is not loud enough and though the speakerphone's output volume is ok, people on the other end always complained that the sound was screaming and uncomfortable. This surprises me as LG made some good speakerphones before, such as the one in the LG VX9800. Another smaller annoyance was that the slide mechanism was too easy. Well, if you have above average hearing, do not talk too much and won't use a speakerphone, then perhaps you'd love the F7200.

LG VX9800

Pros

Above average battery life
Excellent design and keypad
Good speakerphone

Cons

Keys are a bit easy to self-press when in your pocket

Description:

Technology support: CDMA
Flip cover unfolds to a full QWERTY keyboard
equipped with stereo speakers for Verizon's VCAST service

LG VX9800 Review:-

The LG VX9800 is most of what you've been dreaming for. Great keypad unfolding to a great keyboard. Good stereo speakerphone, great display, good pictures. A small trick: the owner's manual doesn't explain how to activate the speakerphone: it is done by opening the flip cover. The small switch that lets you go from macro mode to general photography easily moves by itself when the LG VX9800 stands in your pocket. You will take many a bluried photo if you don't double check before each photo session. Similarly, the key lock feature is almost mandatory since the way this phone was built makes it particularly prone to erratic key pressing while in your pocket. That said, the LG VX9800 is a great phone.

LG VX8000

Pros

Good battery life

Excellent design and keypad

Good display

Cons

No analog roaming, can be a problem on Verizon's network

Beeps are annoying and some are too loud

Description:

Technology support:

CDMAFlip phone with megapixel camera

Lightweight at 3.88 ounces and 3.76 long

Guide Review :-

The LG VX8000 is a digital-only phone on the Verizon network, which already poses a problem. In some remote areas, you just won't get a signal. But that's not an issue if you stick around the major cities. It has an excellent display with clear numbered menus and a good speakerphone. The keypad is one of the best I've used so far: crisp, big, solid keys make dialing almost a tactile pleasure -- ok, I'm exaggerating, just a bit. In other words, the LG VX8000 is a good functional cell phone. But it has surprising small annoyances. For example, the low battery alarm is low is so loud I almost had a heart attack every time it beeped. Also, the side keys are surprisingly sensitive and, quite often, just by having the VX8000 in my pocket and moving around, it would press these buttons and beep. You need to find a good way to place it inside your pocket. But, hey, if you can live with these details, the LG VX8000 will certainly do its job well in a reliable way.

Nokia 7380

Nokia 7280

Excellent for fashionable people who don't care so much about functionality but place style above everything. Walking out of a Limo with that phone in hands is sure to turn heads but just imagine the same jewel with a better software.

Technology support: GSM
Built-in VGA camera
No keypad, instead, everything is done using a rotary jog dial and a select button.

Long showcased as a concept phone by Nokia, the 7280 finally made it to North-America around spring 2005, sold in Canada at Holt Renfrew and online or in some small retail stores in the U.S. The 7280 doesn't have a keypad. Instead, a jog dial lets you browse and select characters and numbers, a lengthy process. But with Bluetooth and infrared, the concept is to manage your contacts from your PC. Beautiful, the 7280 focuses on style to the expense of functionality. Why not? But it needed a better software. For example, why not include a "dictate-a-number" feature, seen in other phones, that lets you speak every number -- would have been so well suited for the 7280. Also, there is no way to assign a soft keys to "Dial" so I needed to press menu and select dial for every new number. And go figure how to dial 1-800-go-fedex with no keys with letters on them? Pressing keys in an automated response service is also a hassle. There is a significant loss in efficiency. However, for browsing, the jog dial is amazing. The see-through mirror/display combo is neat and the camera, which opens by pulling on each end of the handset is a beauty. The 7280 has to be sent back to Nokia for a battery change, which is not very convenient, for such an expensive phone. That said, the Nokia 7280 is still "useable": it lets you make and receive calls and if dialing takes time, keep in mind that if you are hip enough to need the 7280, you probably receive more calls than you dial.

Nokia 6670

The first feature that impress about the Nokia 6670 (currently only offered in Canada) was its speakerphone. Wow! Probably the best speakerphone we'e tried so far that means a lot. The keypad, though, may annoy some and not others. It is a bit bulkier than its 4.16 ounces but that wasn't a big issue. Free personalization of ringtones and graphics and good battery life add up to a good set of features.
Description:
Technology support: GSM, EDGE
Megapixel built-in camera
Weighs 4.16 ounces and measures 4.28" x 2.09" x 0.82"

Pros

Good battery life, above average
Awesome speakerphone performance
Above average megapixel camera for a camera phone

Cons

Keypad may be too small for some users
Just slightly bulkier than average but we're getting picky

Nokia N90

Excellent speakerphone

Amazing high-resolution high-color display
Outstanding camera picture qualityTechnology support: GSM
Built-in 2-megapixel camera
Bluetooth and data cable included

The N90 a truly integrated camera phone. Turn the upper part, you're in camera mode! Swivel the flip up part like a video-cam side display and the N90 is in video mode. As straightforward as it gets! Not to mention the superior photo quality (by camera-phone standards) delivered by the Nokia N90's 2-megapixel cam, its excellent full duplex speakerphone and the lovely high-color, high-resolution display.
Drawbacks are only minor but make you wonder if whoever makes the design decisions at Nokia has a drug addiction or something. This, for example: Nokia has had numbered menus for ages but the N90 doesn't, you have to stupidly crawl through menu items to select them. The software doesn't react as quickly as other phones whenever you ask for last dialed numbers or contacts, for instance. And it's also a bit of a challenge to open it with just one hand, an ability we've come to expect in any flip phone. But these are minor drawbacks that do not outweight the great pluses the Nokia N90 has to offer.

Pros

Excellent speakerphone

Amazing high-resolution high-color display

Outstanding camera picture quality

Cons

Software is suprisingly slow to react

Menus are not numbered, which further slows you down a bit difficult to open with a single hand

Mobile Information

Gmail mobile email gallery:

Recently Gmail (Google Email) introduced a PDA friendly version of their email service that you can check from your PDA browser. Sure, you could always check email through your PDA email client, but sometimes it's just easier to fire up a browser while you're on the road.

Nokia N91:

Sturdy, durable design, great display, good sound... Well, excellent sound, since sound is what the N91 is about. A high-end music phone. And it has the perks you'd expect: Strong, flawless bass sounds yet crisp voices; The headset connector is not standard but there is another headset jack midway, where you can connect your own headsets . Fast forwarding is efficient, going slow at first and then faster as you keep it pressed. The N91 also features "Voice Radio", one of Nokia's recent innovations. And since we're talking about a media phone, the built-in hard drive, once connected with a USB cable, acts just like a removable disc: A piece of cake. On the down side, the earpiece volume is ok but could be stronger. So is the speakerphone. The keypad, though much better than Nokia 8801's similar "embedded" keypad.

2-Megapixel camera

Pros

Excellent sound quality
Nice, sturdy, durable stainless steel design

Cons

Earpiece and ringtone volume could be higher
Keypad is just acceptable
